1. Go through the PC to the XIM APEX website, download the latest firmware update, update the XIM APEX device.
2. Connect the mouse, keyboard, gamepad to the device connectors.
3. Connect XIM APEX to console.
4. A flashing red light on the XIM APEX indicates that the device is ready for operation.
5. On the console, set the option "work through the wire."
