Which is better: bath or shower?

Both are better. And not necessarily separate - now there are many models that combine a full-fledged shower and bath. True, there are a lot of such solutions. Yes, and take up a lot of space. And when you have to choose equipment in a tiny room or with a limited budget, it's hard not to be mistaken. To reduce the likelihood of a miss, you should first focus on your needs and capabilities.

Obvious advantages of the bathroom

Price. Even the simplest shower cabin will cost more than a roomy bathroom without frills, which often becomes a decisive factor.

Ease of installation. This statement can cause a smile for those who look at weighty cast-iron monsters (and this is not the worst option). However, even installing them is easier than a cabin, under which you have to seriously remodel the corner allocated in the bathroom. And if you recall the lightweight steel or acrylic bathtubs, then the advantage will become apparent.

Relax This is the main advantage. After all, it is enough to draw water, add a few drops of aromatic oil or something else pleasantly healing to it, and then plunge into the warm embrace of life-giving moisture. Complete relaxation guaranteed. And along with it will come a spiritual balance, because in this state it is difficult not to forget about the problems.

Practicality. It’s not easy at heart to bathe a small child, tidy up a pet, or simply wipe away tea spilled on your favorite plaid tea. And a washing vacuum cleaner, large pots or a baking sheet without extra splashes where to rinse? Right. Not in the shower. Some talents even wash a bicycle in the bathroom, which once again emphasizes its versatility.

Disadvantages

Dimensions The bathtub is designed to be completely immersed in water. And this implies spaciousness. And overall dimensions. In a small bathroom, there is often not enough space for it. And then you have to either combine the bathroom with the toilet (not the best solution), or refuse convenience by choosing a compact model. And what to do for those who do not want to stick a washing machine in the kitchen?

Cold. This item may look a little strange, but it is true. Even the smallest room warms up to comfortable values for quite some time. And if the water temperature is easy to maintain at the desired level, simply adding a little hot, then with air it doesn’t work out that way. As a result, a light jitzy makes one forget about the recent relaxation, because the enlarged pores sensitively react to the chill of streams rushing into the ventilation.

Insecurity. Acrobatic tricks, complementing attempts to maintain balance, are most often performed when entering and leaving the bathroom. And all because it cannot be roughened - it will be unpleasant for body parts in contact with the surface of the container during water procedures.

Inconvenience. The item looks weird for everyone except people of mature age. For most of them, getting across a high rim is a similar feat. And to keep calm breathing when trying to reach the heel in a half-sitting position is not an impossible task at all.

The obvious advantages of the cabin

Compactness. This statement can be called controversial, since some models (especially two-seater) occupy a decent area. But if the cabin is equipped with a sliding door, then even in the smallest room there will still be a place for household appliances.

Convenience. No stepping over high sides, especially in models with flat pallets. Yes, and people suffering from diseases of the musculoskeletal system, it is easier to rinse while standing. In extreme cases, you can equip the booth with a folding seat, increasing its comfort for such users. And if the "deep" version has become the chosen one (the height of the sides can reach 45 cm), then this drawback is compensated by the ability to make the booth more functional - the bike will not fit, but you can bathe the baby, rinse or stretch something after the walk.

Thrift. Taking a shower, a person on average consumes only 40-50 liters of water. Yes, for fans to soak up under the elastic jets, the counter will record large values. But they rarely reach the 200 l mark per session. And for those who are convinced that you can take a shower in the bathroom, the next item is addressed.

Security. Since only the feet are in contact with the pallet, it can not be made slippery. And this is a reduction in the risk of training acrobat skills.

Comfort. Especially when it comes to enclosed booths (with its own ceiling). While the user enjoys jets of warm water, a limited amount of air is heated by steam. And after closing the tap you will not have to watch frosty pimples on your skin (can this be eliminated by taking a shower in the bathroom?).

Disadvantages

Cleaning. Yes, it cannot be avoided in any case. But it’s one thing to clean the room, where there is where to turn around. And quite another - the battle with lime scale on the walls, the distance between which can safely be called modest.

Practicality. Maybe the description is not entirely correct, but the main function of the soul is to quickly wash off everything superfluous from itself. Soak up in the bathroom does not work. There are, of course, cabins with hydromassage or steam generators, but you have to get pleasure while standing or, maximum, sitting. And it will not work to absorb the full power of healing broths, aromatic oils or sea salt - they will simply be washed off.

So what to choose?

The only reasonable recommendation on this subject is to focus on your needs. If the family is dominated by lovers of leisurely relaxation, there are small children and four-legged pets, but there are no people who find it difficult to get across the high sides - definitely a bath. Otherwise, the shower will help out. Moreover, the last option is a worthy solution for small rooms. And this is an exception to the need to combine bathrooms (separate ones are still better).
