Laminate marking for underfloor heating

The use of wooden materials on top of underfloor heating has several limitations. The reason for this is possible damage in the process of contact of the wooden coating, and moisture generated by the floor.

The choice of laminate flooring

When choosing a heated coating, take into account the following characteristics:

  1. Marking. The label must be labeled H2O. This means that the material can be used to cover a warm floor, and water will not harm it. Such coatings have good water repellent properties and high density.
  2. Coverage class. The best are considered coatings of 32 or 33 classes, with a castle connection. Connection type - Click. There is another, called Lock, but it is not suitable for a water floor, because when it comes in contact with moisture, the joint will begin to swell and the fixation will be damaged.
  3. Security. This parameter indicates the amount of formaldehydes entering the material (they are hazardous to health, especially in contact with water). Therefore, we choose products labeled E0 or E1, since they have a minimum amount of harmful substances,
  4. The thickness of the boards. When installing the laminate, you must not choose a product that is too thick. This shows that the density of the boards is low, and will also reduce the heat input.
  5. Resistance to high temperature. The heated surface provides that its temperature will always be at least 25 degrees. Some types of products will begin to rot at high temperature, or emit harmful substances. Choose those that are temperature resistant.

Advice! An ordinary laminate is capable of releasing harmful substances at temperatures above 25 degrees. Therefore, manufacturers were able to create a special laminate that can withstand this temperature without releasing formaldehyde.

Laminate marking for underfloor heating

There are several markings, depending on the pictures. They are responsible for the following parameters:

  1. Is it possible to combine with a heated floor. Drawings of pipes and arrows.
  2. Material class. The figure and the little men.
  3. The ability to withstand temperature increases. Character Indication 0WITH.
  4. Percentage of water repellent.
  5. The content of harmful substances. Symbols E1 or E.
  6. How much steam penetrates the laminate. Figure couple.
  7. Protection of a covering against moisture. Drops of water or faucet.

What is a laminate with integrated heating

Modern manufacturers have created a special heating, already mounted to the material. This is suitable if it is necessary to avoid contact between the product and the surface. During installation, the laminate and the heating layer are laid simultaneously. The heating system is called the ALLOC Heating system, and differs from its analogues in that the heating layer is not mounted under the floor, but installed inside. Most often it is mounted between the bottom layer of the plate and the material responsible for sound insulation. This will save 30% more heat.

Attention! The installation of a laminate with integrated heating is slightly different. Terminals protrude from the dies. First you need to connect them, and only then snap the locks.

This system has the following characteristics:

  1. Power - 60 watts per square meter.
  2. Cookers are cheaper than heating cables.
  3. Allows you to heat only certain areas of the coating, and not the entire floor. This will save energy.
  4. Resistant to any temperature.
  5. Quickly heat the floor.

When choosing a laminate for a warm floor, it is necessary to take into account all the characteristics of the material.
