How to cancel duplex printing on a printer

The two-sided printing method or duplex is a way in which information, without your help, is reflected on paper from two sides. This technology will save you from manually turning documents. Sometimes this significantly saves time, because the output is a printed sheet on both sides. The advantages of duplex is the work with large volumes when manual feeding of paper is extremely inconvenient and requires your constant presence. But if you use the printer for domestic purposes, or the bulk of the printed information is needed in a one-way format, then the duplex function is extremely inconvenient.

Suppose most electronic material assumes an image on one side, while your printer is automatically configured for duplex printing. It seems to be okay, but, firstly, time is wasted on the empty run of the second side, plus the frequent jams of higher-density paper.

Many users of MFPs face such a problem when, when trying to print several pages of an electronic document, the printer, arbitrarily, produces text on two sides.

In this case, use several ways to cancel duplex printing:

  1. Using the Windows operating system, go to the “Control Panel” and select the “Devices and Printers” icon. In the dialog box that opens, find the brand of your printer and right-click on the context menu. Next, in the “Printing” tab, click and uncheck the “Double-sided printing” checkbox, end the operation with the confirmation “OK”, at the bottom of the window, and celebrate the victory. All further information will default to one-way format.
  2. The second option is related to the printer settings, when the “Print” profile defaults to printing on both sides. To do this, select “Profile” tab in “Printer Properties”. Expand “Default Settings” for manual adjustment. In the “View Settings” dialog box that appears, change the “Print Style”. Uncheck the box with the default setting, two-way, and confirm the changes with the OK button. It is done.

Attention! To prevent a possible reset of the set parameters, print with the required characteristics and save the settings. Go to the “Printer settings”, select “Pre-settings” and click “Save current settings as preliminary”. Title a preset, such as “One Page,” and go directly to printing.

Programmers work tirelessly to create operating systems that can facilitate and make using a PC more comfortable for any user. For our convenience, the “Print” option in new versions of Windows does not undergo global changes.

Therefore, the above cancellation algorithm is relevant for Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10.

Open the “Control Panel”, click on “Devices and Printers”, select your printer model, launch the context menu and uncheck the “Duplex Printing” checkbox. Save the changes.

All cancellation tips have been implemented, and saving settings is enough only until the printer is restarted or the computer is turned off. Regardless of the settings of the “Control Panel” and the Printer, it runs the sheet from two sides.

In such a situation, it is advisable to reset the factory settings. In the menu, select the “Copier” tab, then “Functions” and clear the standard “Clear All” settings. We reboot the system and forget about the problem forever.

Or try downloading a different version of the driver on the network. Usually, older modifications do not conflict with the given parameters.
